Transitions are made easier if children can communicate well, especially using social languages, necessary tools to have when transitioning, i.e. lining up, turn-taking, sharing, etc. As Teachers’ we will encourage your child to expect routines and to follow simple directions.
We provide a programme that we believe is rich in emergent language, literacy, and numeracy skills. Through providing an environment rich in learning potential we believe we can best support children on their learning journey.
Self-efficacy is belief in our own ability to succeed in specific situations. At Stellar Kids, we believe a child’s sense of self-efficacy is paramount. We will learn and teach alongside your child in a way that will help them build self-confidence.
At Stellar Kids, we believe our children are full of potential, competent, strong, and are capable of directing their own learning. Ultimately we teach children resilience: the primary coping skill that children require to negotiate successfully within their environments. Resilience helps build the development of Social Skills.
Visiting Local Schools
The children and teachers visit the local primary schools and new entrant classrooms that your child may attend, to ensure a smooth transition between their pre-school room and their new classroom.
A consistent educational experience leads to children gaining confidence in themselves as learners able to manage change. We share a common vision with our local schools, family, and whānau to actively support a smooth pathway for children to succeed as learners.
Stellar Kids Early Learning Centre has the following aspirations for your children: to explore, experience and educate, within an environment that encourages a fun and exciting attitude towards play and learning.
